This site is dedicated to supporting the women within my community
by promoting their services and products.
Hi, I'm Nicole Graham and I have big dreams of one day opening a
community centre based locally in the Hong Kong Gold Coast area.
The centre will be run by women, for women.
My vision is very clear... the centre is in a village house, close
to public transport and not too far from Castle Peak Road. It has
2-3 therapist rooms and 1 larger room for workshops and classes.
The range of services are unlimited but here are some ideas... a
different types of massage, energy healing, counselling, kinesiology,
yoga, meditation, personal development workshops, language classes,
painting classes etc. I also see shelving or an area for women to
showcase their products such as necklaces, home-made cards, natural
products etc.
The centre is for all women, local and expat. I can also sense the
feel of the place... it's like a second home, and the space feels
safe, healing and nurturing. I also see an area out the back that
allows for children to play while their mum has coffee and cake
with friends. I see two very relaxed and friendly cats who are the
mascots of the centre. They are cats with big personalities and
lots of patience.
The centre is not my centre, it's everyone's. The centre will rely
on people hiring rooms and commission from selling products so this
means that the therapists, healers, teachers, facilitators, designers
etc work for themselves.
In the meantime I need to start somewhere... and
the first step in reaching my dream is to gather details of women
who offer their services in and around this area; women who are
passionate about helping other women, regardless of their origin,
race, religion, age, or sexual preference. I am also interested
in hearing from people who would like to sell their hand-made or
health products because supporting the community is important to
me.
